Gosh my headlines are funny!.. Clearly I’m entertaining myself.
Just wanted to alert you to the grate (ha ha) brooches and badges that John Patterson (from the Grates..) has been designing… there’s even a Woody Allen one! I’m so excited.. www.sniffleco.com

Good news for people not living in Australia who want to get a copy of the very limited edition, signed (I’m in the midst of signing all 1,000 right now! I’m on my coffee break) copies of As Day Follows Night… there is now a way for you to pre-order it online..Here you go:
Also, not sure if I’d mentioned it before, but hip hop artist Bukk City has released a song ‘Nobody Wanted This’ which features a sample of my song ‘The Garden’s End’ from What The Sea Wants, The Sea Will Have. Here’s the video…

I’ve got a beautiful new video clip by the very talented Melbournian, Celeste Potter for the second song to be released from the album. It’s called ‘No Turning Back’ and you can watch it here:
You can see other cool stuff that Celeste has done on her myspace…(or you can leave a friendly comment) www.myspace.com/carbonbycarbon.
Other news is that I’ve got some lovely shows coming up… two on the way up to the Splendour in the Grass Festival. We’ve planned a show in Bellingen on 23rd July and Lismore on 24th July and we’ll be joined by Jack Ladder. I’ve also booked in some wonderful theatre dates later in the year. All the details are up on myspace and I think tickets go on sale at the end of the week. I’m so excited because El Perro Del Mar will be coming from Sweden to play most of these shows with me (unfortunately not WA, but I’ll find someone else exciting, don’t worry). I’m a big fan of her music and I can’t wait. If you haven’t heard her music, here’s a taste:

A very special limited edition of As Day Follows Night is now available to pre-order. There’ll be 1000 copies and I’ll be signing every one. It will be packaged in a special box where you’ll also find a bonus disc of some of my favourite film tunes.. (including some uncool classics like ‘Xanadu’), a little paintbrush and some magic ink reveal cards which will no doubt take you back to your childhood. All the details are here: www.asdayfollowsnight.com.au. So, finally I can reveal to you what my new record looks like! .. ta da…..

It’s cold and rainy and depressing and then somebody sends you a link to literal versions of video clips and it makes life seem somehow worthwhile again.. I’m usually very slow in catching on to these funny internet things, so maybe you’ve seen these long ago… but people have cleverly adapted the lyrics to well-known songs to literally convey what you are seeing in the video clip. Anyhow, it kills me. The one I was sent was for ‘Total Eclipse Of The Heart’, but it seems the original classic is a version of Ah-Ha’s ‘Take On Me’… you can’t seem to view this without an annoying guy popping up onscreen on youtube, so it’s best to go to http://www.dustfilms.com.

Keep your eyes peeled because any day now the Super Dooper version of As Day Follows Night will be available to order before the official release date of the 10th July. It will be very limited and each one will be signed. It’s also kinda interactive… i.e there may or may not be a bit of craft involved.
Also, ‘All I Want’ in all it’s un-myspace-quality glory is available on i-tunes now.. Here’s the link:
